How Korlym® works

Korlym is a once-daily oral medication used to treat high blood sugar caused by endogenous Cushing syndrome (also known as hypercortisolism)

Korlym does not lower cortisol levels, but instead works to reduce the negative effects of excess cortisol activity in the body by competing with cortisol at the cellular level.
